The twelve stars … Symbolize the twelve tribes of the chosen people in the Old Testament: after the resurrection of Jesus, they symbolize the Church, new chosen people of God, founded on the twelve Apostles.
The three Pointed Parts of the letter M …… Represents strength or struggle of humanity in order to achieve Christian perfection.
The Clasped Pillars on both sides made in the shape of rings ……Symbolize Love: Love for God and Love for one another.

Blue is for our Immaculate Mother. It is also the color of the heavens, which bids us to cherish the highest ideals.
White is for innocence and purity of which an SMIS member will live. It means that like Mary, we must ardently desire to keep Christ in our souls with prayers, sacrifices and apostolic actions.
