The SMIS aspires to:
1. provide religious training to give meaning to the entire academic and human formation;
2. provide opportunities for socialization with children of diverse culture and, economic backgrounds so that they may learn from each other the varieties of human conditions;
3. help children, in accordance with their age and capabilities, to become mentally and emotionally mature;
4. equip children with necessary knowledge and skills needed in facing real life situations;
5. develop an awareness of their potentialities and talents and eventually direct them.
